Great-West Healthcare Names Neil Waldron Senior Vice President, Group Health

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – March 7, 2007 – Great-West Healthcare, a national employee benefits provider, has named Neil Waldron senior vice president of group health. Waldron is responsible for the group health business unit that includes select, mid-market and national account sales and underwriting. He reports to Rick Rivers, the health plan’s executive vice president.

With more than 30 years of group insurance and managed care experience, Waldron most recently was based in Hartford, Conn., where he served as the head of sales and marketing for Aetna’s small and middle markets. He also was accountable for the sales and marketing and general management of Aetna’s Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, North Central, Southeast, Southwest and West regions.

Before that, Waldron served as president and chief executive officer of Colorado’s Sloans Lake Managed Care. His role included directing the operations, strategy, and financial performance of the company. Waldron also held a range of sales and management positions with Wellpoint, Mass Mutual Life and Health and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history, magna cum laude, from Eisenhower College.
