“We offer a richer plan and a larger set of benefits than most competitors – and do that while keeping our costs in line. Great-West Healthcare has helped us to provide a health plan that works for employees and that’s affordable for us.” –Bill Buitendorp, Controller, Village Tavern
The first Village Tavern restaurant opened in 1984 near Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. With the success of that first location, the company expanded its concept in North Carolina and beyond. Today, Village Tavern operates eight upscale casual dining restaurants across Winston- Salem, Greensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta, Denver, Birmingham and Scottsdale. The establishment appeals to a wide range of tastes and budgets, offering everything from premium steaks to pasta to wood-oven pizzas. Additionally, the restaurant group runs Ryan’s Restaurant, a fine-dining steak and seafood house in Winston-Salem.
