What's New

Same sites, different names

Our member website (MyGreatWest.com) is now myCIGNAforhealth.com (although MyGreatWest.com is still available) and GreatWestHealthcare.com is now CIGNAforhealth.com. Even though the addresses are different, the tools and information you and your employees rely on everyday remain the same.

Email addresses changing

Email addresses will be changing from gwl.com to CIGNA.com. Many email addresses have already changed, but this transition will be phased-in over time, with all transitioning to CIGNA.com by the end of July.

Life and accident claims processing moves to Pittsburgh, PA

Starting July 1, 2009, life and accident claims currently processed in Denver will be processed in CIGNA’s Pittsburgh-based Life Claims office. We do not anticipate any disruption in service and remain confident you’ll continue to experience the same high-level of customer service you’re accustomed to. Please note, this does not affect how medical claims are processed.

Pharmacy transition scheduled for November 1

The transition of pharmacy administration and benefits from Express Scripts, Inc. (ESI) to CIGNA Pharmacy Management is on track for November 1, 2009. Changes and enhancements plan participants will see as part of this transition:

  • Plan participants with pharmacy benefits will receive a new ID card in late October.
  • CIGNA Home Delivery Pharmacy will take over the home delivery service currently provided by ESI. CIGNA Home Delivery Pharmacy will coordinate the transfer of any eligible remaining refills from ESI.
  • Effective November 1, plan sponsors and many individuals will see a significant reduction in the cost of generic drugs supplied through home delivery.
  • The current specialty network (e.g., Curascript, Accredo, ICORE) will also be transitioned to CIGNA Home Delivery Specialty Pharmacy. CIGNA Home Delivery Specialty Pharmacy will coordinate the transfer of eligible specialty drug prescriptions.
  • Covered individuals may go to myCIGNAforhealth.com for pharmacy benefits, prescription drug lists and more, as well as to access CIGNA’s award-winning Prescription Drug Price Quote Tool, which offers real-time drug pricing information, as well as lower-cost drug options.

Keep checking myCIGNAforhealth.com, or talk to your plan administrator for more information.
