 CIGNA's Preferred Saver HDHP is a low-cost health plan alternative for employers that need to save money but want to continue comprehensive medical coverage with front-dollar coverage for important services. Preferred Saver is based on quantitative research conducted with more than 250 employers. Preferred Saver combines coverage preferred by employers, at a rate that can be 20 percent less than what employers pay today. Like other CIGNA health plans, Preferred Saver includes access to CIGNA's online health and pricing tools and our award-winning 24/7 customer service. Preferred Saver will be available for Select Segment employers starting with January 1 effective dates for both fully insured and self-funding.
